Geri R. Becker, MT(ASCP)
With 35+ years of immersion in the dynamic clinical lab industry, Geri leads the team at Applied Becker Consulting. In addition to setting the firm’s direction and strategy, she brings extensive lab management, technical and protocol, lab testing, and instrumentation expertise to bear on each client’s environment and specific goals. Prior to founding Applied Becker Consulting, she managed a highly specialized endocrinology laboratory and successfully maintained standards compliance. Past roles include staff medical technologist in microbiology departments of busy, acute-care hospitals; functional systems analyst; and microbiology work leader at Brooke Army Medical Center.
Geri’s commitment to clients keeps her on the road and working hands-on with clients’ staffs nationwide.
Karen A. Tindall, MT(ASCP)
Karen combines more than two decades of high-complexity lab management experience with Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology and Masters of Business Administration in Healthcare degrees. She brings extensive operational experience to Applied Becker Consulting. From Total Quality Improvement, personnel development, and inventory control initiatives to financial, billing, and accreditation, her in-depth understanding enables clients to achieve quality and efficiency goals with improved financial performance. Prior to Applied Becker Consulting, Karen served as Director of Lab Services at the START Center for Cancer Care, South Texas Oncology and Hematology high-complexity testing. She also held past roles as Clinical Laboratory Manager for five laboratories at the Cancer Therapy and Research Center high-complexity testing organization.

More than a decade of experience in diverse healthcare arenas gives Sara an invaluable perspective to Applied Becker Consulting’s clients. She has worked as a Director of Occupational Medicine, laboratory technician, and medical sales representative for organizations across South Texas. Sara is the go-to person at Applied Becker Consulting for everything from ensuring smooth daily operations to providing client support, market research data, and quality assurance assistance.
